Dream Product or Feature

We are looking to your mind for some suggestions!

Picture it… you’re using our product as you normally would, but then it strikes you…

an idea that would take {{global.company_name}} to the next LEVEL.

Now’s your time to be heard!

What is your dream feature in D-BOX’s product? Share your ideas in this thread and let us know.

No idea is too small or too big!

3 actuators gaming chair, with fully integrated VR titles with D-box motion code, So i can play seated Vr games that i normally play standing because motion sickness is too much when seated. Naturally d-box negates the motion sickness when done well ! So please make my prayers reality one day :1st_place_medal:

As Alex suggests, VR integration into a gaming chair. Maybe integration into the recently advertised Razer D-Box chair.
Also, maybe more relaxation options with sequences like, ‘Floating in a canoe on a lake’ and ‘A Ride through the skies on the back of an eagle’ and ‘Train journey on the Orient Express’.

Here’s a small one-

Some movies start with a bang, and the D-Box system hasn’t quite identified what title it is when the action should have already started.

As great as it is to have D-Box automatically recognize movies, how about letting me suggest to the system what the title actually is… to make it easier for the system to figure it out.

Also- bass shaker mode!

I was coming here to give same suggestion at Matt. It would be much easier to use system if we could at least identify what movie we are trying to watch so d-box system is quicker on the pickup. Having to restart movie like 3-4 times is tedious and takes away some of the “joy” of using the system.

One more - how about having a integrated speaker system in chair.

Oh yea and here’s this for out of the box thinking….have a massage system in chair… watch d-box movie while getting a massage - might never leave the chair again. Hahaha!

Gaming console connectivity is at the top of my list. I know D-BOX is working on it and it isn’t straightforward but it was definitely one of the features that made me decide to invest in a system.

I second Matt’s suggestion about pre-loading a specific code to the Haptisync. Lots of times I need to back it up (particularly for series with multiple episodes with identical intros or movies with the same studio intros).

It would be nice if the Haptisync app would let me know a film/show’s aspect ratio as I need to set them up before hand. Minor but it would be handy (I can’t be the only who hates variable aspect ratios in our content right? Take note Christopher Nolan).

The ability to reset the Haptisync remotely from the app would be handy in the rare instance when the chairs aren’t recognizing the code. My equipment is in a separate room.

Thanks for the product feature recommendations! Those are all great suggestions. We will definitely share with our product team, and we will keep you updated

This idea is totally out of the box.
How about a portable D-Box platform that you can place a chair on top of, that is light enough to carry with you, when you’re travelling. This way you can take the D-Box experience with you everywhere! This package would also include an HEMC unit that can be linked to your account, anywhere that you go!

For D-Box Sim Racing:

  1. Add VR motion compensation to motion core for SteamVR and Oculus etc.
  2. Offer AFFORDABLE surge and traction loss upgrade to the motion system. You already have the code in motion core to do it. When I attempted to add this to my current Gen 3 4 actuator system it was going to cost $10,000 for the two additional actuators and another $5000-$10000 in other parts to integrate it. I ended up going with a competitor: PT Actuator “Low Rider” that offers EVERYTHING for ~$5000 I would have much preferred to have everything D-Box but not for 3-4x the price.

You may have been ill advised. Adding surge and yaw to a gen 3 would be about $6000 all in and a much better solution that the PT.

I’d be happy with an intense, as in the theaters 9older red chairs) in home in comfortable chairs, adjustable to be almost too much, including transducers that work for all content, in chairs that don’t cost a fortune, and equipment that also doesn’t cost a mint.

So far all my experience with home D-Box has left me wondering why I’d want to pay so much for so little.

A joystick and small button box to self control for music video chair dancing. A “stimuli” that is quicker and joystick operational.

I would like D-BOX to work with the Oculus.

#1 Intensity override for movies. My thought here is the ability to increase the intensity in the off chance the haptic codes for a certain title seem shy of what may be expected.

#2 Trinnov stereo downmix output. Ok, this one is out of your hands, but I have been told it is on the list and would make life much nicer for those of us with Trinnov Altitudes.

#3 RJ45 A/B remote controlled switch. This would theoretically allow those with the legacy controllers to enable audio mode. These switches exist but I dare not experiment with fear of damage to any of my D-Box equipment.

A comfy modern (possibly cloth) couches that have speakers and vibration inside. It may not move like the d-box individual seats but if it would shake and vibrate that would be awesome. That way it can still be a uniform couch for the whole family to enjoy.

Be fun to have other theme park simulator rides available like Back to the Future: The Ride.

This was straight from D-Box working with Sim-Lab.com

Regarding my recommendation above- about “suggesting” a movie to the recognition system. As others have said, movies or shows with similar starts are problematic… but also movies with different cuts supported by D-Box. Extended Lord of the Rings, for example. It would be nice to make on of those cuts more “sticky” for the evening.
